This villa appears on first sight to be incredibley well designed. It somehow manages to exude an ambience of rustic and vintage charm whilst still maintaining its look of being very contemporary. It is located on a perfectly positioned property. From every room or outdoor section of the home, one is able to see the massive expanse of a stretch of sea that extends right up to Robben Island. The high-up position of the property allows for a spectacular, almost terraced view of the city-scape as is descends in colourful rows and eventually levels out at the shoreline. The home s architectural design was is the phenomenal work of Steven Meyers. It has been created to masterfully incorporate maximum sea-views from every conceivable window in every home in the villa. As a North-facing home, the villa receives vast amounts of sunlight and warmth. The property provides safe, off-street parking in a 3-car garage, CCTV cameras monitoring the entry gates and road and an alarm system fixture.
It includes 4 en-suite bedrooms and each is fitted with a plasma screen TV and Satellite, as well as individual climate control systems. All areas of the house comprised of wood flooring have been layed with original Oak Wood. All other floored areas have marble tiles and in these parts there is under-floor heating.
The kitchen has been designed and decorated to exude classic and country elements in a Southern-French style. Lime-washed wooden cabinets and finishings compliment the rough-finished, peasant-style informal dining table in the centre and the exquisite focal-point of an antique Indian wood-and-glass cabinet. Equally functional, the space is fitted with all necessary appliances and has an added space comprised of a pantry and scullery. This area has an outdoor exit which takes one down a winding flight of spiralling stairs and arrives at a very separated, ground-level access to a massive laundry room facility and two private bedrooms and a bathroom for live-in housekeepers.

The formal dining area has fantastic views of the city and the sea and is a particularly light-filled space. Here, an original George Table sits squarely and may sit around 18 people. The formal living room consists of muted tones in sandy-beige, coral, dusty gold and wood. Brushed velvet sofas in gold surround a richly coloured Mahogany centre-table. The room also features a wood-burning fireplace. The lounge opens up to a space which is as unique as it is beautiful. Wooden-framed glass doors open up onto a square of shaded patio, which lies framed in a half-square by the lounge, passage and master-suite. It includes a floral-upholstered lounge-suite and a large oriental rug which carpets the marble floor. This area is such an innovation of utmost comfort and tranquility and provides an incredible urge in one to curl up on one of the soft couches with a glass of Merlot and drink in the sunset skyline splashed with yellow, orange, pink and gold. From here the night-time view of the city appears as a million, sparkling diamonds sprinkled over the inky-blackness. Mesmerizing and spectacular.
The lounge veers off into two directions. Stairs will take one to a lower-level section including 3 other en-suite bedrooms, and a short passage to the left – which includes another wood-burning fireplace - arrives at a fully-equipped study area. This space is gorgeously finished in Mahogany and has really rustic-looking grass-clad wall-papered walls. This study alcove provides the entrance to the grand Master-Suite. The suite is embellished in silvery and pewter -coloured tones and plush fabrics and velvety textures. Raw silk curtains in a pearl-like silver frame the rooms perimeter and may be drawn to expose the spectacularly breathtaking views ahead. The en-suite bathroom is finished in dark-marble embedded with flecks of Mother-Of-Pearl. The jacuzzi-style tub overlook s the pleasing view of neighbourly properties which conveniently compliment the home s effective appeal in that they are designed to replicate authentic ,Tuscan- country, Mediterranean retreats. If the view were not enough, one can still see a crystal-clear Robben Island in the distance. The double-head shower is also versatile in that it may be a dual steam-room. The master-suite also includes a beautiful Mahogany-finished walk-in wardrobe.

The lower-level section of the home is accessed via the staircase descending from the formal living room. The space includes a large TV room with a big Plasma screen, DVD player, surround-sound music system, and a Wii. The space exudes warmth and comfort in its additions of leather-clad sofas and real animal-skin seats. An array of West-African antique sculptures line the shelves. The look is completed with a couple of enormous leather wingback chairs. The area features a wine cellar and a tread-mill and has dual-access onto the garden/pool area. This section of the home contains the remaining three bedrooms. All bedrooms have double doors framed by charming wooden-shutter doors. The second largest guest bedroom has an incredibley pretty bathroom as it has been fitted with a free-standing Victorian bath and finished in soft, pearly Turkish marble tiling. The largest of the three lower level rooms includes a large and sunny seating area with more furniture upholstered in the golden, brushed velvet as well as a long work-desk. The open-plan en-suite bathroom includes an authentic and very post-modern design incorporating the very focal black and white Bizzazza, mosaic-tiled wall-feature. Here, another free-standing Victorian tub lies adjacent to a sand-blasted glass shower.

The outside garden area provides a fantastic atmosphere from which to entertain. The hill-side position of the villa, with it being built on a slope, means that this side of the home is elevated far above the ground-level below and; obviously; supplies the most majestic and revolutionary views of all. Balau-timber decking forms a patio. This section is well-shaded and can be transformed into an outdoor dining experience under the stars. A grass-garden patch is ample-sized and arranged with reclining lounge furniture. The pool is situated at the outer-most edge of the property. Its sea-facing side has been contained within glass panelling and offers the experience of swimming directly above the city sky-line and viewing the ocean s never-ending horizon.
