Water Club, Granger Bay Situated in the exclusive private yacht Water Club marina complex this three en suite bedroom apartment is in the shadow of the impressive new Green Point Stadium. It is adjacent to the metropolitan golf course and conveniently situated near all local amenities. The first impression the visitor experiences walking through the front door to this airy property is the long expanse of tiled marble floor space which guides the eye throughout the full length of the apartment leading to a feature modern fire place and entertainment suite. To the right one enters a generously-proportioned en suite master bedroom (with plasma TV). The large bathroom features an oval part-sunken bath while the bedroom boasts capacious fitted wardrobes. The tree en suite bathrooms all have under floor towel and rail heating. One wakes up to exceptional panoramic views through the full-height picture windows across the bay to Robben Island and the harbour and more immediately of the yachts moored in the secluded marina itself. The sense of quietude is ensured by double-glazing throughout as one passes into the adjacent sheltered private patio terrace. The large second bedroom opens on to the far side of an L-shaped terrace where the Jacuzzi is located. Sat here you can chink glasses and take in a full panoramic view of Table Mountain. The large terrace is reached by glass patio doors and is decorated with potted palms and bamboo to soften the space. This setting is ideal for both sophisticated al fresco entertaining at the dining table as well as more relaxed sun lounging at a suite of easy chairs and informal couch composed around two occasional tables. The third bedroom enjoys views of one end of the ultra-modern Green Point Stadium and Table Mountain. Two gas fires form natural focal points. The simplicity of a rectangle of white pebbles through which flames emerge is most effective at dusk as the daylight recedes. The eye is lead to the natural framing of the full-width living room windows that give on to an open sea aspect and the bay beyond. The intimate space of the library lined entertainment area boasts a surround sound audio system complementing a HD DSTV installation. Modern paintings decorate the house while a Tang horse statuette catches the eye on the fireplace surround. The stunning background to the living room and tastefully restrained furnishing forms an ideal setting for sophisticated entertaining. The open-plan breakfast area / low bar counter divides the main living space seamlessly to one side of the full-specification kitchen. Guggenau units and generous oven capacity in addition to a gas hob provide ample catering options while attractive maple wood is used on surfaces. A full height fridge-freezer with ice-maker provides valuable storage. There is a separate utility room facility housing washing machine and dryer. Residents can enjoy communal access to the gardens and manicured lawns that surround a palm-fringed pool, ideal for a sun lounge. The complex is routinely patrolled 24 hours a day by a private security company to ensure peace of mind. |
