| Situated on Beach Estate, close to the beach and bustling harbour of Hout Bay, this seaside villa is ideal for families, as it has a garden and pool but is also only five minutes walk from the beach. A lofty, double-volume living area with exposed white wooden beams, leading the eye up to a round, nautical window at the apex of the roof, gives a sophisticated beach house vibe. A wooden staircase leads up above the kitchen area to a quiet study on a mezzanine level. One bedroom is also on this level and looks out onto a terrace with views of the sea and mountains. Wooden stairs down to a lower floor take you to three comfortable en-suite double bedrooms and a family lounge. Glass doors lead out to the pool, which is surrounded by a garden with lush lawns - ideal for children. Hout Bay is a relaxed, family friendly area with plenty of attractions for children besides the beach and the harbour, including a trip by boat to Seal Island, horse riding or walking in the mountains near Chapmans Peak. Llandudno beach is 10 minutes drive away and Kirstenbosch Gardens are a 20-minute drive. The centre of Cape Town is a half-hour scenic drive along the coast. |
