The peace and tranquillity that pervades this holiday homes natural surroundings and scenery are reflected inside this Camps Bay home with generous use of light, space and natural materials, focusing on the laidback life by the sea and retaining its Atlantic coast character. The interior and exterior are in constant contact, with glass sliding doors that open up on to an extended deck bringing the outside in with views of Camps Bay unfolding below and the Twelve Apostles Mountain as a vast panoramic backdrop with its changing light and moods. Camps Bay, an exciting tourist destination for its vibrant restaurants and bars, its beautiful beach, surfers and blue seas, is just a five minute drive down the road, Table Mountains cableway and the V & A Waterfront are a ten minute drive away. Living area Once inside this property, one arrives at a luminous foyer with modern built in box windows along the wall and down curved carpeted steps to a bright and light large interior living space with dramatic high ceilings accentuated by white vertical and horizontal panelling adding to the spacious proportions of the house, a perfect setting for one of the Capes favourite seascapes. The classic, timeless style of the living area comprises a living room directly ahead, a raised dining area to the left of the living room and a kitchen to the left of the dining area. The living room has a comfortable large sofa, one sofa chair, two chairs upholstered in suede and two beige chairs, all with different patterns and textures put together beautifully, a solid and ornate wooden coffee table, a television and music system and glass sliding doors that let in the views of the ocean and lead on to the much used outdoor area. The raised dining area is classic and modern where the use of white and beige reflect the colours of the beach with a French white wooden table and eight light brown chunky wicker chairs for dining, a large French white dresser with drawers that doubles up as a server and display unit and glass sliding doors that open up on to a private and secluded courtyard with lights in the ceiling, a quiet place for contemplation. A fully equipped, spacious and uncluttered, all white and well lit kitchen has a high white wooden slatted ceiling, a large work island with drawers and an original old fashioned Kelvinator stove/oven. The first bedroom is off the living room has a dark wood tall chest, a large desk with a black leather chair and a computer, wall shelves, a large wooden cabinet and an extra patterned chair, a relaxing space to unwind with doors that open up on to the swimming pool and views of the ocean. Down a carpeted passageway with built in box windows along the wall are three fresh and personalised carpeted bedrooms decorated with soft shades that blend well with and bring beauty to the light walls and a style that enriches rather than restricts the view with doors opening up on to the outdoors. All four bedrooms have double beds layered with white linen and fitted wooden wardrobes. Bedroom two has an antique wooden dressing table with drawers, shelves and French white wardrobes. Bedroom three has a cabinet, an extra single bed and a balcony. Bedroom four has a French white desk and chair, a French white dressing table, shelves, a television and a balcony overlooking the sea. The tiled bathrooms are a mix of simple charm and comfort with colours to match the scenery. Bedroom one has an en suite bathroom with a long white marble vanity area with his and hers washbasins, a long and raised rectangular bathtub, an enclosed glass shower, fitted cupboards and a glass brick wall alongside the tub. Bedroom two and three share a dedicated bathroom with a white marble vanity area, a raised bathtub and an enclosed glass shower and another bathroom with a shower. Bedroom four has an en suite bathroom with a beige/cream marble vanity area, a bathtub, an enclosed glass shower with a glass brick wall and built in box windows on the walls.
