The Villa recognises the need for travellers who require a sumptuous private getaway while still being close enough to benefit from the many tourist attractions of the Cape. The Villa is ideal as a family holiday home, for business people wishing to entertain their colleagues or for a group of friends who wish to book out The Villa in its entirety. A full complement of professional staff is on hand should guests wish to make use of this service. The Villa, while providing the facilities for leisure and relaxation, is also equipped for business meetings, network opportunities or corporate incentives. The Villa is a relaxed adventure into gracious living where one engages in everyday activities made special by the grandeur of the surroundings, the sophistication of the furnishings and the magnificence of the house. The attention to detail evident in the plush interior is just as breathtaking outdoors, where the landscaped garden blends seamlessly with the house and the broader surrounds. The five bedrooms are stylishly decorated in neutral colours, allowing the magnificent views to provide the focal point. The minimalist approach evident in the rest of the house has been extended into the bedrooms, where large expanses of space accentuate the plush furnishings. Variable lighting, room temperature and piped music all add to the atmosphere of luxury and ease. The bathrooms, all finished in Italian marble, are an invitation to indulgence. Each bathroom is exquisitely appointed with the finest attention to detail, enhanced by the natural light that floods in through the glass domes. The spacious lounges, bar and piano area as well as the opulent dining room are arranged in an open-plan format, continuing the spacious design of the outside pool and leisure area. All of the rooms open directly onto the pool-terrace with unsurpassed views of the Paarl Valley and mountains. The Villa also has its own gym, fully equipped for a complete workout. A Jacuzzi provides the perfect conclusion to any workout and relaxation is aided by the magnificent view. The gym has its own bathroom with a built in sauna and steam shower. For those who prefer to mix sport and leisure, the swimming pool provides an unsurpassed view of the Paarl Valley. The kitchen is equipped with the latest appliances, allowing staff to prepare any cuisine that guests may require. Continuing the convenience of the modern kitchen, there is a covered barbecue area leading from the kitchen. A fully equipped study with secretarial services including telephone, fax and wireless ADSL are available to guests wishing to keep in touch with family, friends or to keep updated with business news. The media room is equipped with a large plasma TV, DVD machine, CD player and stereophonic sound. All equipment is recessed into custom designed wood cabinets. The Surroundings Paarl has a fascinating rich history dating back to 1657. Paarl is about nature in all its scenic splendour and offers countless ways to reconnect with the great outdoors. With its close proximity to Cape Town, Paarl offers a variety of sports and entertainment - anything from golf and trout fishing to hiking, rock climbing and horse-riding. The sports and leisure enthusiast will be impressed to find such a variety of activities close by. Paarl is located in the heart of one of the most beautiful and renowned wine routes in South Africa. The Paarl wine route was opened in 1978, allowing the public a glimpse of the long tradition of Huguenot wine-making. It is also the home of KWV, the national co-operative of South African wine producers. Getting There The Villa is conveniently situated a mere 45 minutes away from Cape Town, via the N1 National Road, with all the attractions of a bustling city watched over by the mighty Table Mountain. It is famous for its magnificent scenery and the V&A Waterfront as well as world class beaches. Hiking trails and nature walks provide the impetus to become acquainted with the surrounding environment, while miles of superb coastline offer an irresistible invitation to have fun. Take the N1 highway towards Paarl. Take exit number 55 Paarl - Main Road/Franschhoek. Turn left at the bottom of the exit and drive for 5 km. Turn left into Mill/Meul St and drive for 1km. At the T-Junction turn left into Plein Street. Turn second right into Monte Cristo. |
